Meet Our Team

Amy Powrozek – Director Of Business Operations

Amy joined the Michigan Law Center, PLLC as a senior paralegal. With over 25 years of estate planning experience, and strong leadership and organizational skills, Amy was quickly promoted to the Director of Business Operations shortly thereafter. In this role, Amy handles human resources, business development, client relations, and many other duties. She finds great reward in working directly with our clients and establishing long-term relationships with our firm. Amy attended Franklin University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. When she’s not working, she enjoys gardening, cooking, attending local shows, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Donna DeSaele – Lead Probate Paralegal

Donna’s experience lies within probate work and estate planning, after having worked for UAW Legal Services for over 30 years. Donna was introduced to the Michigan Law Center, PLLC as a client, and enjoyed her experience so much that she knew she wanted to work here. She was brought on the Michigan Law Center, PLLC team as a senior paralegal, specializing in probate. Donna enjoys getting to the root of the client’s problems and helping them find solutions that fit their care needs. Donna attended Macomb Community College and received a certificate in accounting. In her spare time, Donna loves seeing her family and taking care of her family farm.

Rosemarie K. Urban – Paralegal

Rose joined the Michigan Law Center, PLLC as an administrative assistant, assisting all staff members in a variety of capacities. In 2020, she was promoted to our Clients Services Coordinator, handling the intake process and being the first point of contact for potential clients and our colleagues. Her main responsibilities are maintaining all new client files and corresponding with clients on the status of their case. Rose also works in probate cases as our point of contact between the multiple Probate Courts and the firm and drafting documents. She enjoys being able to assist the team and support clients through her work. Rose earned her Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts through Southern New Hampshire University and graduated Cum Laude. Outside of work, Rose enjoys going hiking, reading, and spending time with her several dogs. She likes to attend local open mic nights at local venues to play guitar and sing.

Mary Kovar – Trust Administrator

Mary is a trust administrator. She handles client services and fiduciary responsibilities that go into trust management. Previously, she has worked in the fields of sales and marketing, office management, customer service, and business development. She brings a diverse work experience which introduced her to new people, challenges, varied work concepts, and innovative ideas. As Trust Administrator, Mary draws on her people skills, adaptability, and a sense of duty to provide service and support to her clients. Mary holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource administration from Concordia University. Her spare time is filled with her want to be an “outdoorswoman,” involving a lake and a boat. Mary enjoys her family and is the mother of one active teenage daughter, and the daughter of an active 90-something mother, both of whom hold her heart.
